Veras for Enscape
This page provides information on the key features of Veras in Enscape.
Overview
Veras is an AI visualization tool integrated in Enscape for architects and interior designers, designed to streamline the visualization process and overcome limitations of generative AI by working directly with the user's Enscape model. It is a tool for creative ideation and rapid visual exploration. Veras offers versatility across design stages, integrates seamlessly with Enscape, and provides controls for geometry and material overrides, presets, visual consistency, custom render selection and more.
Starting from Enscape 4.10, organization’s administrators can now disable AI features, if required by company policy by setting an environment variable. This can be done per user or on system level.

How To Open Veras
You will find the Veras button on top of the Enscape viewport. Once you click on it, Veras window will open.
You might be asked to login using your Chaos account if you are opening Veras for the first time.
Once logged in, Veras viewport will open. Veras uses your current live view in the Enscape viewport as base for generating new visuals, also known as the substrate.
If you change your view inside Enscape, the substrate for Veras will change as well, refreshing the view to the current live view inside the Enscape viewport.
Veras Interface
Veras has a very simple interface and it is very easy to navigate through it. At all times you will be able to see the current Enscape view inside Veras viewport. Let’s go through each of the buttons in the top bar.
Explore Tab
This is your default workspace. This consists of a quick preset menu on the right.
The top Preset is the one that is selected currently and it has a three dot menu to save current settings applied to this preset as a new copy with a new name. These will be saved under the My Presets area.
The area Veras Presets provides you with a number of ready to use presets that can be used to immediately start testing ideas on your base image from Enscape. These range from interior styles, exterior shots, season changes, physical model, design styles and more.
Once you select a preset, you can click on the Render button on the bottom to generate a new image based on that preset settings. You can render up to four images simultaneously. Each time a new image is generated, you can add more to the queue.
Additionally, you can also set the width and height for your viewport.
Veras Presets – Allows selection of predefined styles that guide the image generation process.
Aspect Ratio – Selects the aspect ration for renders.
Resolution – Select the output resolution size (1K, 2K or 4K).
Compose Tab
This is where you can be creative and prompt your ideas. The Prompt field is used for achieving specific aesthetical content in the generated rendering, and is linked to the Prompt Strength slider. Low strength produces muted results, while high values produce more dramatic results.
Style Chips – Append predefined text to the user prompt when rendering. Click the 9 dotted icon to open the Style Chips panel.
My Style Chips – Your custom style chips. Click a chip to add it to your prompt, or use the pencil icon to edit.
Veras Style Chips – Built-in style chips curated by Veras for common rendering styles.
Source Image – This image will guide the starting point for your rendering. Allows to choose one from Auto, Preview Image, Rendered Image, Manual Upload, None.
Prompt – Is the text description you give Veras that tells it what to create, including the subject, style, mood, and details.
Negative Prompt – Is used for reducing and removing specific content, aesthetic, or style in the generated rendering, and is linked to 'Prompt Strength'.
Geometry Override – The amount the geometry will change from the original model. Low values promote geometry detail retention, while high values can generate more creative results.
Material Override – Low values stay closer to the original aesthetic, while high values change the aesthetic producing more dynamic colors.
Prompt Strength – Low values produce muted results, while high values produce more dramatic results.
Width – The rendering resolution's width.
Height – The rendering resolution's height.
Seed – The render seed is used to reproduce previous render results — even with different geometry. When enabled, select a past rendering to use its seed, or enter one manually.
Render Engine – The render engine affects the characteristics, aesthetics and speed of the render. Available engines:
Version 7 Flash (1.3x–2.5x) - Nano Banana 2 (Google Gemini Flash): Fast and affordable rendering with broader aspect ratio support.
Version 7 (2x–4x) - Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini): Best for overall quality and creative generation, with enhanced editing capabilities.
Version 6 Sharp (Unlimited) - SD Model: Good for retaining details at low Geometry Override values.
Version 6 (Unlimited) - SD Model: Good for overall quality
Version 5 (Unlimited) - SD Model: Good quality with broad material retention at high Material Override values.
Version 4 (Unlimited) - SD Model: Good for expressive renderings.
Design Lock
Design Lock is a reference image option added in Veras 4.3. When set, Veras reads the visual style of a chosen render — things like facade articulation, surface patterns, and material character — and carries those qualities into new renders from any camera position, while keeping the underlying model geometry unchanged.
To use it, go to the Reference Image section in the Edit Tab, pick a render you want to match, and switch the type to Design Lock. Subsequent renders will aim to reflect that same visual language.
Edit Tab
The Edit Tab enables you to edit your generated image in a bit more detail. You have some edit tools on the top menu. These can be used to manually select areas in the image that need working.
Once you define a Render Selection, you can use the prompt to generate changes to that selected area.
The Render Selection Blend slider helps blend your selection better with the rest of the image.
You also have the option to Upscale Image to a higher resolution.
The Upscale Image feature will produce a high-res image which may be downscaled if used with other Veras Edit features.

My Style Chips – Your custom style chips. Click a chip to add it to your prompt, or use the pencil icon to edit.

Video Tab
The Video Tab allows you to generate animated sequences based on your image and prompt. Instead of creating a single render, you can produce a dynamic video that evolves over time.
You can define how the scene changes using a descriptive prompt—for example, transitioning between seasons, lighting conditions, or environmental effects. The system uses your source image as a starting point and applies these changes smoothly across frames.
The Source Image determines the base for the animation, while the prompt controls the transformation, motion, and overall narrative of the video.
You can also use a Negative Prompt to exclude unwanted elements or styles during the animation.
Additional settings such as Seed help reproduce consistent results, while the selected Render Engine influences the visual quality, style, and speed of the generated video.
Once everything is set, click Render to generate your animated sequence.
You can select multiple video renders and combine them into a single video file.

Source Image – Defines the starting frame of your video rendering.
Prompt – Is the text description you give Veras that tells it what to create, including the subject, style, mood, and details.
Negative Prompt – used for reducing and removing specific content, aesthetic, or style in the generated rendering, and is linked to 'Prompt Strength.
Seed – The render seed is used to reproduce previous render results — even with different geometry. When enabled, select a past rendering to use its seed, or enter one manually.
Video Combine
Video Combine, added in Veras 4.3, lets you join several video renders into one file. Rather than sharing separate clips, you can stitch shots from different viewpoints or phases of the design into a single, ready-to-present video.
The clips are merged in the same sequence you select them, so pick them in the order you want them to appear in the final video.
Gallery Tab
The Gallery Tab displays generated images based on the source image and prompt. It provides a visual history of results, allowing quick access to different variations and settings.
Each image reflects the applied prompt, Seed, and Render Engine configuration, making it easier to review outcomes and track changes.
Select an image from the gallery to inspect details or continue working with it.
Canvas Filters
Added in Veras 4.3, Canvas Filters give you a set of image adjustment sliders that apply on top of a finished render — no re-generation needed. Use them to quickly tweak tone or sharpness before presenting or exporting.
Controls:
Brightness – Lightens or darkens the whole image.
Contrast – Widens or narrows the gap between light and shadow areas.
Saturation – Pushes colors more vivid or pulls them toward neutral.
Blur – Softens the image; handy for adding a sense of atmospheric depth.
Every slider has its own reset icon, and a Reset All button is available to clear every adjustment at once. Settings are stored per render in the cloud, so they reappear correctly the next time you open that render in the Gallery.
You can drag a thumbnail from the gallery strip directly onto the canvas to use it as the source image — look for the highlight that appears as you drag.
